Sci-Fi Thriller 'April X' Features Connor Storrie and Lilly Krug: Trailer Released

The upcoming dystopian thriller "April X" presents itself in its trailer as a typical genre B-film produced in Eastern Europe on a relatively modest budget. However, its standout feature is undoubtedly its cast, raising the question: will this film make it onto your watchlist?

Filmed entirely in Romania with American funding, "April X" marks the first feature film for Connor Storrie, who gained recognition through the HBO Max series "Heated Rivalry."

Directed by debut filmmaker and screenwriter Michel K. Parandi, the film has been showcased at various smaller festivals around the globe for nearly a year, earning a commendable collection of awards across different categories. "April X" is set to hit over 500 theaters across North America on September 25, 2026.

The local distributor, Tiberius Film ("Terrifier 1-3," "Dolly") is reportedly planning to release "April X" in German cinemas later this year. However, a specific release date for this futuristic thriller has yet to be announced.

Joining Connor Storrie is German actress Lilly Krug, the daughter of Veronica Ferres, known for her roles in "Das Superweib" and "Schtonk!" Lilly was recently seen in the action film "Plane" and the psychological thriller "Shattered," alongside Gerard Butler and John Malkovich, respectively.

Plot Overview of "April X"

Set in a not-so-distant future within a bleak Eastern European city, the story follows Bax (Connor Storrie), a small-time crook characterized by his brashness, who resorts to stealing artificial body parts to sell on the black market. He shares his shabby apartment with his twin sister April (Lilly Krug), who possesses the unique ability to control and digitally record her dreams.

April's extraordinary talent makes her a target for high-tech corporations and the criminal underworld, both eager to exploit her gift for illicit purposes. When April mysteriously disappears, Bax is determined to find her, enlisting the help of dubious contacts. As his search becomes increasingly desperate, he starts seeing fleeting images of April throughout the city, yet she seems unable to recognize him anymore.
