The Predator Takes on an Iconic Species in a Surprising Sci-Fi Crossover

The legendary Predator expands its hunting grounds to the Planet of the Apes in an unexpected sci-fi crossover that has just been released.

Since its first appearance in 1987, when the intergalactic hunter faced off against action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Predator from the Yautja race has become a staple of pop culture. Its popularity surged in 1991 with "Predator 2," where Danny Glover's character encountered a trophy gallery aboard a spaceship, featuring a Xenomorph skull among other trophies. This moment subtly hinted at the crossover potential of the franchise.

While the big screen has primarily showcased clashes with the Aliens, fans have enjoyed numerous battles in comics against various characters, including superheroes like Batman and Wolverine, as well as unexpected figures like Tarzan and Archie.

The latest and most exciting crossover occurs in the comic series Predator vs. Planet of the Apes. The story follows astronaut Arch, who crash-lands on the Planet of the Apes. Initially threatened by the ruling species that enslaves humans, the tide turns as a group of Yautja arrives for the hunt.

Issue 1 of this comic series is now available on Amazon, with a total of five issues set to be released. The comic is illustrated by Alan Robinson and written by Greg Pak.
