Top 7 Beauty Picks for January 2025

As we welcome the new year, it's time to explore the first beauty highlights of 2025, with a delightful Italian twist. This month's selection features Sicilian pistachios in a facial oil, a fragrant bathing ritual from Parma, a room fragrance inspired by Capri, and natural cosmetics from Tuscany. Additionally, there are exciting new offerings from France and Germany to discover.

Clarins Eau Dynamisante When thinking of Clarins, Eau Dynamisante immediately comes to mind. This aromatic fragrance, created by Jacques Courtin-Clarins in 1987, was one of the first luxury cosmetics I indulged in as a teenager. The scent blends essential oils and plant extracts, embodying the principles of aromatherapy and phytotherapy to invigorate both body and mind. Not only does it perfume the skin, but it also nourishes it. Eau Dynamisante is composed of 95% natural ingredients, featuring key actives like lemon-thyme extract to support skin elasticity, aloe vera for hydration, and ginseng extract for its revitalizing properties. The fragrance is enriched with notes of sweet and bitter oranges, mandarins, lavender, eucalyptus, tarragon, nutmeg, and patchouli. It can be applied all over the body as a splash or used like a perfume. 50 ml, approximately 35 euros.

Irene Forte Pistachio Facial Oil I have a love for pistachios, whether in ice cream, on their own, or stuffed in a croissant. However, when I first encountered the idea of pistachio as a facial oil, I was skeptical. My curiosity won out, and I was pleasantly surprised. Irene Forte's products, inspired by the natural beauty of Sicily, feature purely botanical, locally-sourced ingredients. The main active is phytomelatonin derived from alpine plants, which stimulates cell renewal and acts as a powerful antioxidant against free radicals. With 28% stabilized vitamin E, the oil keeps skin supple and hydrated while enhancing the skin's natural vitamin E levels. A blend of omega-rich oils, including pistachio oil, moisturizes and protects the skin. This vegan, refillable facial oil is free from artificial colorants, abrasive fragrances, essential oils, parabens, and paraffin. 30 ml, approximately 150 euros.

[comfort zone] TRANQUILLITY™ I first experienced the Italian brand comfort zone during my stay at the Vitalhotel Alter Meierhof (set to reopen in March 2025). I had the chance to try the TRANQUILLITY™ PRO-SLEEP MASSAGE, which helps alleviate stress and sleep disturbances, common issues in modern life. This vegan bathing and body ritual, infused with a blend of essential oils from sweet orange, Damask rose, and cedarwood, promotes relaxation and well-being for body, mind, and soul. The memory of that extraordinary treatment lingers, thanks to the captivating scent. I am also a fan of the aromatic body oil containing amaranth oil for increased elasticity and softness, which can be used either as a body oil or in the bath. Whichever option you choose, a long-lasting fragrance experience is assured. 200 ml, approximately 93 euros.

A4 Finger Food Handbalm The journey began with her grandmother's recipe books, which contained innovative formulations, including a recipe for "avocado cream," her remedy for tired, stressed, and aging skin. This inspired Eva Steinmeyer to create A4. One standout product is the Finger Food Handbalm, which absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Its blend of argan oil (which supports cell activity and energy metabolism), eco-certified hyaluronic acid (which retains moisture), aloe vera (which nourishes and has anti-inflammatory properties), and betaine from sugar beets (which hydrates) ensures smooth hands. The active ingredient HyWhite® reduces melanin production, serving as an effective anti-pigmentation treatment. 50 ml, approximately 43 euros. Notably, alongside the A4 COSMETICS line, Steinmeyer has developed A4 IMPULSE®, beauty drinks containing ceramides and collagen peptides to enhance skin quality from within.

Carthusia Linea Domus Whenever I apply my favorite scent, Corallium from Carthusia, I am transported back to Capri, the brand's home. It was love at first sight when I fulfilled my long-held dream of visiting this enchanting island in summer 2022, deepening my appreciation for its fragrances. I wish I could fill every room with these scents to evoke memories of the sea, sun, lemons, and la dolce vita. Fortunately, the Linea Domus collection offers room fragrance diffusers, allowing me to preserve my perfumes. The diffusers are designed in the shape of the iconic Carthusia Eau de Parfum bottle and come in six fragrances: Corallium, Fiori di Capri, Frutto di Bacco, Mediterraneo, Via Camerelle, and A‘mmare. They are available in three sizes: 230 ml for 80 euros, 480 ml for 110 euros, and 680 ml for 145 euros.

SEED TO SKIN The Light Source This Tuscan natural cosmetics brand combines cutting-edge skincare technology with traditional methods and modern biotechnology to combat signs of aging. The Light Source enhances collagen and elastin production while improving cell renewal through Crocus Chrysanthus bulb extract, which stimulates cell-to-cell communication. The formula is enriched with ceramides, marula oil infused with herbs, and fermented red ginseng oil. Swiss Ice Wine helps to soften wrinkles and boost skin hydration, while goji berries enhance skin density. The Indian pennywort extract provides antioxidants and promotes collagen synthesis while supporting the moisture barrier. Additionally, The Light Source contains active ingredients that minimize dark spots and hyperpigmentation. For nighttime care, The Night Force complements daytime skincare, promoting skin regeneration overnight. 50 ml, approximately 300 euros.

Lanserhof Scented Candle For those who have been following Beautydelicious, you know I am a huge fan of Lanserhof and F.X. Mayr. This admiration began when I experienced a life-changing gut health treatment. While I may not always adhere to strict dietary guidelines, the knowledge I gained remains with me, especially when I feel the need to return to healthier habits. I highly recommend the cookbook "The Healing Power of Nutrition" and products from their online shop. For instance, I can no longer imagine my mornings without the alkaline spirulina muesli. Equally essential is the Lanserhof Signature scent, which I brought home in the form of a scented candle. Warm notes of cedarwood, patchouli, and musk combined with sweet marjoram, rhubarb, fresh mint, and orange create an atmosphere of relaxation and well-being. Made from uncolored plant wax, 400 g, approximately 80 euros.
