Jason Statham Reflects on a Dangerous Stunt He Regrets

Jason Statham, renowned as one of the leading action stars in cinema, has had his fair share of adrenaline-pumping stunts throughout his career. However, even a seasoned icon like Statham has moments he wishes he could take back.

After making a name for himself in Guy Ritchie films such as "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch," Statham increasingly gravitated towards action roles. Over the years, he became known for performing many of his own stunts, a practice he later came to regret. In a candid interview with Metro, he reflected on the challenges of maintaining this approach:

"I did 'Transporter' with Luc Besson, and by the end, I pretty much did everything [myself]. From that day on, it was a challenge to change things - until I couldn't anymore."

The Regrettable Stunt

Statham has engaged in numerous daring feats for his films, including a particularly precarious stunt during the filming of "Crank," where he was seen hanging from an open helicopter. However, in a conversation with Collider, he revealed the one stunt he regrets the most from his 27-year career:

"I did a little jump in 'Transporter 2.' I jumped from the back of a jet ski to the back of a bus. That was not a very safe stunt. I shouldn’t have done it; there was no safety line, but I just went for it. I mean, if I had missed the back of the bus, I would have hit the concrete at about 50 kilometers per hour."
