Paramount+ and Prime Video UK are set to launch a new medical drama titled "Trauma," with Richard Madden stepping into the lead role. According to Deadline, the series will follow the story of Jim Marchant, a former Royal Marines medic who transitions into an emergency doctor.
In a gripping narrative, the plot unfolds when the Prime Minister is taken hostage by terrorists during a surgery at a bustling hospital. Jim must rise to the occasion, searching every floor to rescue those trapped while the power dynamics shift around him.
The series is developed by Geoff Bussetil, with Daniel Syrkin directing and Chrissy Skinns serving as the producer. Chris Kennedy will take on the role of co-producer, while Madden, Syrkin, Ben Pugh, and Ben Cavey will also contribute as producers.
Filming for "Trauma" is slated to commence in October.
