Chicago Fire fans are facing changes as Dermot Mulroney departs the series in Season 15, which premieres on October 7, 2026. Learn more about the cast updates.

Fans of the popular series "Chicago Fire" are in for a significant shake-up as the show's upcoming season approaches. Just days ago, reports surfaced about a long-time cast member departing, and now, Deadline has confirmed that another actor will also exit in Season 15.
Dermot Mulroney, who joined the cast as Chief Dom Pascal in Season 13, will conclude his storyline at the beginning of Season 15, which premieres on October 7, 2026, on NBC. Mulroney took over the role from Eamonn Walker, who portrayed Chief Wallace Boden for twelve seasons.
During Season 14, Mulroney took a brief hiatus from the show to work on the filming of the second season of "The Hunting Wives," but he returned for the season finale of "Chicago Fire."
In contrast, Taylor Kinney, who plays Kelly Severide, and Miranda Rae Mayo, who portrays Stella Kidd, have extended their contracts. Reports indicate that Hanako Greensmith (Violet Mikami), Jocelyn Hudon (Lizzie Novak), and Brandon Larracuente (Sal Vasquez) will also reprise their roles in the upcoming season. However, the futures of David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann) and Christian Stolte (Randall 'Mouch' McHolland) remain uncertain.
