The Beginning: 1959

The story of Vicenç Moretó Barbershop traces back to 1959 when Vicenç Moretó Sr. made the bold decision to leave Valencia for Barcelona. At that time, opportunities were limited, but in Barcelona, he could earn three times what he made in his hometown. This courageous choice during challenging times marked the beginning of a significant family journey.

From Employee to Owner

For many years, Vicenç Moretó Sr. managed the barbershop owned by Mr. Palomares, especially stepping in after an accident sidelined the original owner. In 1988, he took over the business, embarking on a new chapter as both barber and entrepreneur. Inspired by his dedication, I began my studies in hairdressing and barbering that same year in my hometown of Santa Coloma.

Discovering My Calling

I admit I was never a stellar student until I uncovered my true passion: to be a barber, manager, mentor, and communicator. This revelation transformed my life.

Training and Early Travels

In 2005, I began a more serious training regimen with American Crew. A particularly memorable experience was a trip to Mallorca, which I attended with my newborn son, just 15 days old. This was followed by journeys to Amsterdam, Rome, and Madrid—each enriching my understanding of the craft.

A Legacy of Generations

Our barbershop has served up to three generations of clients, many of whom have become friends over time. Witnessing families continue to trust us with their grooming needs is one of the greatest sources of pride in our journey.

A Family Team

In 1998, Toni joined our team, and for three years, we worked together—my father, myself, and my nephew. This period was unforgettable. In 2001, my father retired, and I took over the management of the barbershop.

Relocation and Present Day

In 2005, we moved to our current location at Joaquín Costa 51. Today, we celebrate 20 years in this space, where we have shared countless stories, haircuts, conversations, and joyful moments with our clients.

A Special Place

For many, Vicenç Moretó Barbershop has become their "third place" after home and work. This recognition is undoubtedly one of the highest compliments we could receive.
