Review of Bow Polish's 3fach Thermolack "Mutation"

I’m excited to share that I’ll be posting more regularly in the coming days. The past few weeks have been incredibly busy, with long hours spent outside the house, leaving little time for anything else. While I managed to paint my nails occasionally, I was often too exhausted to document it. Today, I’ll start with a review of a nail polish I recently tried, which I hope you’ll find interesting!

Recently, I ordered a three-color thermal nail polish from Bow Polish through Hypnotic Polish. The concept of a three-color polish was new to me, and I was eager to see how it performed.

Unfortunately, the bottle arrived in less than pristine condition, which I didn't manage to clean up beforehand. However, the polish itself looked quite appealing. I began with the first coat, but to my surprise, it was nearly invisible. After applying a second coat, the slight hint of color looked rather dull. Even after a third coat, it still wasn’t opaque. I ended up applying a total of five coats, yet the coverage remained far from what I expected after such effort. On a positive note, the polish dried quickly, which was a relief given the number of layers I had to apply.

I plan to try it again with a color-appropriate base coat, as wearing it alone didn’t yield satisfactory results. For a price of €9, I believe the polish should achieve full coverage after no more than three coats. What are your thoughts on this?

Warm. In reality, the nail tips were more visible than shown here.

Medium. This color is my favorite; it’s vibrant but still lacks full opacity.

Cold. Even in this shade, the nail tips are still slightly visible.
